Leslie Ritenour

My name is Leslie Ritenour,

a Twin Cities theatrical video designer.

 

I began work as a video designer with my first show She Kills Monsters by Qui Nguyen at the University of Minnesota's Rarig Center under the mentorship of Kathy Maxwell. Through this show, I initially had no experience in video design, but I stepped up to the challenge, quickly learning various programs such as Qlab and many Adobe programs. During this time, I was a full time student aiming to get two degrees. I ultimately ended up loving video design as a result of this experience.

Afterwards, the University took me on for another show the following year: Silent Sky by Lauren Gunderson. With this show, I was able to further develop my skills as an artist and get my footing on information such as projector setup and schematics.

With each and every show I work with, whether I am an assistant, an associate, or a designer, I am committed to learning something new. With the knowledge I receive, I inspire to be the change of my generation and expand the capabilities of video design in theatrical environments.
